Writing an Ebook from blog articles

I often test the waters with an ebook subject by writing a blog post about that subject. You maybe wondering how you can offer a free blog post about a subject and then still have people be interested in downloading an Ebook about that subject. Well for one thing we are talking about the difference between a article and a book. An ebook will be much longer and detailed about the subject. People will have the bulk of information in this book. You will be adding a lot about the subject in a book. Haven't you written a blog post and wished you had more time and information to add. The blog post was just too limited to explore your subject. So let's take a look at blog posts you already have and how you might turn them into an ebook. Why write and ebook in the first place for one reason the more ebooks you have published the more you establish yourself as an expert. Many people just do not trust the online business market, buyers are desperately looking for service providers they can trust. Establishing yourself as an authority on your field. Help others by being the person they trust to ask questions of and expect to get an honest answer. in all professional matters – helps people decide they want to do business with you. Step 1: Establish your niche. Choose a niche that is not too narrow or broad. If you get into a niche that is too narrow you will not make any money. If your niche is too broad it probably is too competitive. For instance I started out with a blog on fashion. But so did everyone else in the fashion business. So then I realized there were very few blogs on fashion for older women. That narrowed the niche but kept an interesting niche people were interested in. There are more older women in the US than anywhere else in the world and they have money to spend on fashion, accessories, Jewelry. Step 2. Write a blog entry about the subject you want to test. Take a look how this article is received. Writing an ebook takes a ton of time and resources and may not be worth it if the content isn't interesting to your readers. So it makes sense to write a blog post on a specific subject first to see how the content performs. If the article performs well, you'll know it's worthwhile to invest in writing an ebook on the same subject. If it doesn't perform well, it'll be a clear sign you ought to move on to another topic. Interestingly enough the highest performing articles are those that people can participate in as a say church group. Like at Christmas it was a Ugly Christmas sweater party. The last one I put up was a Scavenger hunt. I am sure people would really like an Ebook on that subject. Step 2: If it performs well, find other past content written about it. So now you've tested out your content. It performed well (awesome!), and you're ready to write a lengthy ebook about the topic. Your next step is to look back at some of the other blog posts you've written in the past to see if you've touched on the subject before. If you write a lot you probably have several articles that relate say to fashion for older women. The information may be out of date but it can be updated and parts of the article used for your ebook. Looking back on the last years articles I found several that could be updated into a whole chapter on older women and fashion. There were also beauty articles on older women and hair styles and makeup that could be used. Also articles on older women being invisible but not really wanting to be. How the woman today is younger longer. So these could all be used for my ebooks. I also have business articles that could be used on Startup, ways to get funding for startup. Getting traffic to your site when it is new. Converting hits into customers. This could be another ebook. Step 4: Update the content. After you decide what you want your chapters to be about, make sure to update the content accordingly. Some of the information you use as the basis for chapters may be a few months (or even years) old. You can add fresh insights into these articles you want to use for the ebook. You also know that information changes at a rate that is quicker than the the blink of an eye. So be sure all your content is up to date and fresh. Step 5: Make the content more meaningful. The beautiful thing about ebooks is that you have the luxury of adding more detail than blog posts. Take your blog post content and see if you can find examples of companies using the tactic you described. For example the older women and fashion magazine I found some fameous older women to interview and added these interviews plus lots of photos. On the ebook about start up money, I added some chapters about getting a partner. Maybe not a full partner. This was revelant information to add to this book. When you start working on the intro, you want to set up the topic clearly and grab (and maintain) the readers' attention so they're convinced this piece of content is exactly what they're looking for. The best way to do this? Explain what makes your ebook valuable right upfront. Offer your readers perhaps some free software or templates for writing an ebook. Something that is really user friendly. I wanted to write a book and I happened upon Bublish.com The place to write and promote your next book. Only 9.99 a month or $99. a year. You even get a free month. So why not give it a try. It gives you all that you need to write your book and to promote it on the social networks. If you are an emerging author why not try Bubblish out and upload one book for free. Then if that works out for you and you are getting all you need to write and publish that book then go to the free trail of one month. The of course the paid version for only $9.99 a month. In the conclusion, give your reader an action item. What should they do now that they have read your ebook? Is there another place they can go to get additional information? Is there another resource that your company has created that can help them out? Step 7: Design your ebook. After your introduction, body, and conclusion are completed, you can start designing your ebook. Add some photos preferably your own and maybe some studies but be sure they enhance your content and do not distract from it. Have a graphic artist design your cover if that is not your thing. They do say a picture is worth a 1000 words. Don't make the whole book too long. People do not have a long attention span now days. Charge for the book not a big amount but people do not value what they don't pay for they are suspicios. Bublish will help you promote the book. They are connected to Amazon and several other places to sell your book. Step 8: Make the finishing touches. You're almost there! It's now time to put on the final touches for your ebook. Make sure you copyedit to catch all of your grammatical and spelling errors. Use Grammarly for that it is free. Grammarly Also, add some calls-to-action to tell your visitors what they should do after they finish reading the ebook.
