I was cleaning up the files on my computer and on my cloud. I did not realize that I had so many articles. I write for 20 or more blogs a week and have been doing so for a long while. I think I started in 1998. Well, anyway I found I had believe it or not around 4000 articles. Many were out of date but had a lot of good information that still could be used. So I started the first of this month updating the articles. I then began to put them up for sale. The first place I listed them was on Fiverr. Believe it or not I sold 20 articles right away. Granted I did not get big money for them but who cares they were just sitting there taking up space on my hard drive and in my cloud. It took very little to update them and put them up for sale. I started thinking about how else I could use them. I began the rewrites which was fun as I learned a lot by just reading my old articles. I then began to put them back out as a whole new batch of articles, which saved me a lot of time and money.
I then did a little research on some places to sell articles online and came up with these ideas.
1. Constant Content - My friend told me about this site. I have not used it myself but she sells articles all the time on this site and gets some really good prices. I was surprised she got $40 and up for some of her articles.
2. Fiverr - Like I said I was surprised that I sold almost 20 articles on Fiverr, last week. I had used Fiverr, myself some times when I would fall behind with my writing but I had never sold any articles but worked great.
3. My Own Blogs- I put an ad on my own blogs for package deals on articles since I have quite a few articles to move and sold some right away. So you might write up an ad and post it on your blog and get a little money going on from your articles that are just taking up space.
4.Fabjob.com
Web site: www.fabjob.com. E-mail: editor@fabjob.com. Send complete mss (preferred) or query to editor. Accepts columns and departments (200-500 words). Pays $10/article, on acceptance. Buys electronic rights. Content used in 2 weeks. Guidelines available on Web site.
5.KineticTravel.net
Web site: www.kinetictravel.net. Accepts features (1,000-1,200 words); columns (600-800 words); and travel essays (500 words). Pays $150/feature; $75/column; and $10/approved travel essay, on posting. Buys nonexclusive rights. Content used in 1 month. Guidelines available on the “contribute” page of Web site.
6. iWriter - http://www.iwriter.com/ I don't know much about this site a friend suggested it to me will let you know after I find out more.
7. Text Broker - http://www.textbroker.com/ Check this one out and let me know what you find out. I know I will not get around to all of these right away.
Well I am going to go out there and sell the rest of my old articles that I have updated to meet some of my customers needs. Anything is better than having them just hanging around. I think mostly though I probably will not sell them I will use them in my own blogs. I found that it was fun to rewrite them with a new spin on the subject. I know a whole lot more than I did in 1998, at least I hope that I do.
